Can ChatGPT replace us?

Professions which can and wich can’t be replaced by ChatGPT

So this list does not reflect my opinion.
This is not to say that ChatGPT cannot replace these professions completely or at all. Rather, it shows the more likely scenario.
Unfortunately, in many cases we can talk about replacement, not assistant. There have already been several news reports about large companies cutting jobs due to AI. Or they simply don't hire new people for vacant positions. Of course, AI algorithms are often good assistants for people. But this article is about replacement.
Unfortunately, in my opinion, it is a naive dream that someone will help those who lose their jobs more seriously. In addition, AI is developing so quickly that this list can and will change from month to month. Previously, it was possible to say that AI can automate simple and boring jobs, so if you learn, you will definitely find a job. Unfortunately, that has changed today. Very difficult to find an alternative for people. Right now, my personal goal is to research this area and help people navigate this complicated world. I think that ignoring this new world is not a solution at all. We need to know what is happening and what to expect in order to react. Even better, to be able to think and act in advance.
Let's look at it in order.
They are safe (for now):
- Non-computer workers, as robotics are not yet advanced enough to repair a car or cook a meal to order.
- The live performance of performers at a concert, for example, cannot yet be replaced with appropriate quality.
- And the performance of athletes is so much about testing human abilities that a machine cannot intervene in this, it would not be interpretable.
- The work of teachers working in kindergartens and primary schools cannot be replaced for the time being, as children require empathy, education, and attentive care.
Those who are no longer safe:
- Programmers, coders, data analysts, etc. ChatGPT can write code. For now, it can only solve tasks of lower complexity, but this may change rapidly shortly.
- High school and especially university teachers may already be in danger, as ChatGPT has comprehensive knowledge of a wide variety of topics. If we add that there are artificial intelligence algorithms that are already able to produce human voice and video, then we can see that, unfortunately, even online courses may soon come that are completely based on artificial intelligence.
- In finance, artificial intelligence can follow new laws and financial regulations and can translate them into plain language. ChatGPT also has strong math skills. In addition, it can take into account news and other events in the world.
- Perhaps there is no need to say why media professionals are in danger. ChatGPT was born for content creation. Today, AI has no problem generating text, images, videos, and sounds.
Summary
To be honest, in the last 100 years, machines have taken away many people's jobs, but this has often had its advantages. After all, today fewer people have to do dirty, dangerous, and boring work. Let's hope that this trend continues in the future with artificial intelligence, and the hardworking and ambitious person will always find a way to earn money!
